I asked the same thing at tms
Just wondering what version of windows you are running and why? I run windows 7 of course, have been for the past year and haven't looked back at vista or windows XP. I can't see any reason why not to switch to windows 7 unless your hardware is from the stone age. So what do you run?

xp. i dont see any reason to upgrade to 7 unless something forces me to.
btw, does 7 still have that option like vista had, where you can change the appearance so it looks like XP??

Windows 7 is awesome, but my hardware is old like a dinosaur. I run Ubuntu, Windows Server 2008, and Xp. Ubuntu I like because it has a bunch of programs that come with it you can download for free, and it's all open source. Also has a windows emulator, although I haven't tried to play any windows games on it. Server, I just have because i was doing some networking bullshit for school on it, and haven't taken it off yet. I normally just run xp.

I dunno, but you can customize themes way more in windows 7. You can definitely make the same color theme. I think a windows xp theme with windows 7 aero enabled would be the bomb. As for the layout, not a huge difference from xp. Infact, I think everything in windows 7 is more accessible than XP. It's just the look of it at first makes it look confusing.

If any of you want to try 7 just find a virtual machine program and run it as that. That way you can just delete the folder in my docs, and not have to reformat your whole harddrive if you dont like it.
